Who is Waleed Nassif?

Waleed Nassif is a Lebanese senior filmmaker and AI director working across the Middle East. A graduate of Notre Dame University in Lebanon, he has directed television, music videos, films and live events in a career of more than 30 years. He founded the production company WP AI Powered Production in 2006.

His portfolio counts more than 3,000 featured projects for over 320 clients across local, regional and international media platforms and networks. Today his focus is AI-powered production: generative film, AI avatars and digital twins, voice synthesis and hybrid shoots that mix AI with live action.

  1. 1996

    First professional work

    Started working professionally two years before he graduated from Notre Dame University–Louaize (NDU).

  2. 1998

    Television and music videos

    Graduated from Notre Dame University (BA, Communication Arts, Radio and Television) and joined Arab Radio and Television; directed more than 100 music videos and four years of Cannes Film Festival coverage by 2002.

  3. 2003

    Teaching and national films

    Taught at Notre Dame University until 2008 while directing films for the UAE Armed Forces and the Saudi and Egyptian national football teams.

  4. 2009

    itivi.tv and 3D

    Founded the online channel itivi.tv, and in 2011 directed Najwa Karam’s "Ma Fi Nom", a 3D stereoscopic music video with Sony Middle East and Rotana Music.

  5. 2016

    Tarab and Winter at Tantora

    Created and directed the music format "Tarab" with Marwan Khoury (100 episodes over three seasons) and later directed concerts at Winter at Tantora in AlUla.

  6. 2019–2021

    National events

    Directed UAE National Day 48 events at Al Majaz Amphitheatre and Burj Park, and Saber Rebai’s concert at the Royal Opera House in Muscat.

    State ceremonies and immersive work

    Directed the UAE National Day 50 live broadcast, the Dubai Police graduation at Al Wasl Plaza, Expo 2020 Dubai (February 2022), and museum and VR films for the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

    Records and Saudi culture

    Senior director of Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year show, which set two Guinness World Records titles, and of 100 cultural musical films for the Saudi Ministry of Culture.

  9. 2026

    AI-powered production

    Directs AI-generated films for Dubai Police, MBC Audio Network and AD Dimension at the Saudi Media Forum 2026, and works as senior filmmaker on live events, including Arab Hope Makers at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai and a 2026 concert by Hussain Al Jassmi in Rabat.
